Our intervention

  • UX / UI
  • Branding & Creation

Intro

Create a new identity for EPMO sites to reinforce the desire to visit their museums.

The EPMO wanted to overhaul its digital journey across all its sites: Musée d'Orsay, Musée de l'Orangerie and the corporate site, while creating a new identity. We supported them in all the design workshops, creating the entire UX and design for the 3 sites. We also provided editorial support for the youtube channels and editorial calendars, as well as some motion design to promote the events.

Our expertise

  • 01. Design

Immersion and understanding of different target audiences through numerous UX design workshops.
This enabled us to define personas, tree structures for each site, and key pathways to guide users and create the desire to come to and return to the Musée d'Orsay and Musée de l'Orangerie.

    • 02. Brand identity

Creation of the identity for the 3 sites (EPMO, Musée d'Orsay, Musée de l'Orangerie), inspired by the history of these museums, the architecture of emblematic sites, and their artistic universes and graphic codes.

      • 03. UI/UX Design

Production of all site mock-ups, based on wireframes and a unified Design System, integrating the artistic directions specific to each site. The mock-ups were then prototyped in order to validate the paths and design of the micro-interactions.

        • 04. Editorial

Definition of the editorial approach for the Musées d'Orsay and de l'Orangerie websites.
Creation of the editorial charter for the museums' YouTube channels.

          • 05. Promotion

Production of motion design videos to promote museum events (Mondes d'Orsay conference, Orsay on stage...).

            A deeply collaborative approach

            Musée d'Orsay - collaborative approach

From concept to design, the entire process of redesigning the sites was carried out in workshops involving :
teams from the museums' various departments and divisions (Communications, Programming, Conservation, IS, etc.)
            Arneo experts
            external partners (SEO, accessibility...)
Even today, after the site has gone live, we hold regular workshops with the EPMO teams to anticipate and prepare for functional and design evolutions. Each department has the opportunity to share its needs and specificities with our teams.

            Meeting the challenge

Collaboration with more than 10 stakeholders on the project, both internal to the museums and external, to align all players on a common, user-centric vision of the future sites.

            Editorial support

We also help museums produce their own content. From teasers for major events such as conferences and concerts, to the design of editorial calendars for the production of content for social networks and websites, not forgetting the youtube channel!

            Taking up the challenge

A partnership that lasts since March 2020!

            User testing

            User testing - musée d'orsay

As soon as the MVP version of the sites went online, we carried out a series of qualitative user tests, followed by a quantitative study to support the results. The objective? To analyze user behavior and identify the friction points impacting their experience. This test phase enabled us to adjust future developments and optimize the fluidity of the user experience. These tests were carried out on a representative panel of the museums' main audiences.

            To meet the challenge

12 user tests carried out on the Musée d'Orsay and Musée de l'Orangerie websites, on desktop and mobile.
